SWITCH BOARDS/MCC'S SHALL BE SHEET STEEL CUBICLE, INDOOR / OUTDOOR FLOOR MOUNTING FREE STANDING TYPE. THE DESIGN SHALL BE TOTALLY ENCLOSE, DUST TIGHT AND VERMIN PROOF BY PROVIDING RUBBER GASKETS BENEATH ALL COVERS/DOORS. THE SHEET STEEL USED SHALL BE 1.6/2.0 MM (16 SWG OR 14 SWG) THICK. SHEET STEEL WORK SHALL BE OF HIGH QUALITY, WELD RUNS SHALL BE GROUND SMOOTH. A MS BASE CHANNEL OF 75X40X5 MM SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH FOUNDATION HOLES. LIFTING HOOKS ARE PROVIDED FOR SWITCH BOARD/MCC'S.
2. POWDER COATING :
ALL STEEL WORK SHALL UNDERGO A PROCESS OF GRINDING, DEGREASING, DERUSTING, PASSIVATION AND THEN WE POWDER COAT THE PANELS. THE FINISHING TREATMENT SHALL BE BY THE APPLICATION OF TEXTURE POWDER OF APPROVED SHADE. AS A STANDARD, WEPROVIDE :-
SIEMENS GREY : EXTERIOR OF PANEL
SIEMENS GREY : INTERIOR OF PANEL
BLACK ENAMEL PAINT : BASE CHANNEL.
3. FEEDER ARRANGEMENT :
THE SWITCH BOARDS/MCC'S SHALL BE OF SINGLE FRONT CONSTRUCTION. OUTGOING FEEDERS SHALL BE ARRANGED IN MULTI-TIER INDIVIDUAL COMPARTMENTS. THE FRAME WORK SHALL HOUSE SWITCHES. CIRCUIT BREAKERS. MCB'S ETC. EACH MODULE SHALL BE FITTED WITH INDIVIDUAL DOORS WITH HINGES CABLE SUPPORTS AT REGULAR INTERVALS SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR DRESSING OF CABLES.
4. BUSBARS:
THREE PHASED AND NATURAL ALUMINIUM BUSBARS OF RECTANGULAR CROSS-SECTIONAL AREA SHALL BE PROVIDED. BUSBAR SHALL BE SUPPORTED ON UNBREAKABLE NON-HYGROSCOPLE DMC OR SMC SUPPORTS RIGIDLY HELD TO THE FRAME WORK OF THE CHAMBER AND ARE INSULATED WITH HEAT SHRINKABLE SLEEVES.
5. EARTHING :
EARTH STUDS AT THE BASE CHANNEL ON BOTH THE SIDES OF PANEL ARE PROVIDED. AS PER THE CLIENTS REQUIREMENT WE CAN PROVIDE EARTHING STRIPS OF ALUMINIUM OR COPPER WHICH SHALL RUN THROUGH THE BASE OF THE CHANNEL.
6. CABLE ENTRY :
SWITCH BOARDS/MCC'S SHALL BE DESIGNED TO FACILITATE ALUMINIUM/COPPER PVC CABLE (ARMOURED OR UNARMOURED) ENTRY FORM BOTTOM AND/OR TOP AS THE CASE MAY BE REMOVABLE SHEET STEEL COVERS/PLATES SHALL BE PROVIDED AT THE BOTTOM AND/OR TOP FOR THE CUSTOMER TO DRILL HOLES FOR CABLE ENTRY THROUGH CABLE GLANDS.
7. WIRING :
SWITCH BOARDS/ MCC'S SHALL BE COMPLETELY FACTORY WIRED READY FOR CONNECTING TO THE EQUIPMENT. ALL CONTROL WIRING WILL BE DONE BY PVC INSULATED COPPER WIRES OF SIZE 1.5 MM SQ. FITTED WITH IDENTIFCATION YELLOW COLOUR FERRULES. TERMINATION OF WIRES ON BOTH ENDS WILL BE BY USING CABLE LUGS. WIRING SHALL BE PROPERLY DRESSED, BUNCHED AND SUPPORTED BY ‘P' CLIPS. POWER WIRING SHALL BE DONE BY ALUMINIUM FLATS FOR SIZE ABOVE 63B AMP. AND BY PVC INSULATED FLEXIBLE COPPER WIRES OF MINIMUM 2.5 MM SQ. USING LUGS FOR SIZE BELOW 63 AMP. TERMINATION OF POWER WIRING SHALL BE IN A SEPARATE CABLE COMPARTMENTS OR AT THE REAR OF THE PANELS.
8. LABELS :
ENGRAVED NAME PLATES ON ALL INCOMING AND OUTGOING FEEDER COMPARTMENTS AERPROVIDED IN CASE THE FEEDER DETAILS ARE FURNISED BY THE CUSTOMER ALONG WITH THE ORDER OR APPROVED DRAWING. DANGER LABELS, CHAMBER SHALL BE PROVIDED AT
APPROPRIATE PLACES.
